The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) has hired Michael James McCoy, M.D. as its first ever chief health information officer (CHIO).
Dr. McCoy will start next Monday, according to email sent from Karen DeSalvo, M.D., National Coordinator for Health IT, to staff members.
