athenahealth, the Watertown, Mass.-based provider of cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) systems, is making its way to rural America, with an acquisition of RazorInsights.

RazorInsights, a Kennesaw, Ga.-based company, provides EHR systems to rural, critical access, and community hospitals. The acquisition allows athenahealth, which serves office-based and ambulatory providers, to expand to an inpatient hospital market.
