    This is all very cool and futuristic, but not very practical. Speech introduces potential privacy issues and the ‘spoken’ speed of data review is abysmal. Better is a workflow that makes review and recording of such pertinent information faster and more intuitive.

    Greater than 90% of this is possible today with a very few EHRs whose use is combined with a remote, super-scribe. The technology will get here in another 5-10 years. The greater challenge is how to replace obsolete systems and habits that are designed to turn doctors into distracted data trolls and which place little to no value on the doc’s time or attention.
