According to news sources, Farzad Mostashari, M.D., National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, will be stepping down this fall. Industry sources reported on August 6 that Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), wrote the following in an e-mail to HHS staff members:
