Medfusion, the Cary, N.C.-based provider of patient portal technology, is no longer aligning strategically with Allscripts due to “unresolved payment disputes.”
Despite the fact that contract is terminated, Medfusion says it is still providing its online patient portal to approximately 30,000 Allscripts providers. The end-users will not experience an immediate lapse in service, says Medfusion. In time, the vendor is offering those users the chance to continue service with Medfusion, to allow them to attest to Stage 2 meaningful use.
