As an intern for AHIMA, I have had the opportunity to work on our newest campaign “It’s High Time, America.” Before beginning my internship, I had never heard of a PHR/EHR, let alone understand the importance of maintaining one. I have come to understand the value in a PHR/EHR, but have also become educated about all of the potential privacy and security risks out there, especially with the advancements in healthcare technology. Resources such as this ppt are great additional tools. Thanks!
