Seven projects will split $2.2 million from the Miami-based John S. and James L. Knight Foundation–which supports transformational ideas that promote quality journalism and advance media innovation–as winners of the Knight News Challenge: Health, the foundation announced Tuesday. The objective shared by each of the projects will be to “harness the power of data and information to improve health of communities,” according to the announcement.
